These days many people are trying to eat less meat. As a vegan, this makes me very happy and I love brands that are making delicious food that can make it easier. This post is sponsored by Babbleboxx on behalf of Conagra.
It’s hard to believe, but as recently as five years ago there weren’t many plant-based options available at most supermarkets. Consumer’s needed to go to a specialty store, and even then there were few frozen food items to help make it easier for busy people to eat less meat.

I have not tried the chicken tenders from Gardein yet but they look great. I am all about spicy foods and I love to add meatless products to my salads as well

Gardein has a few different types of tenders but this Nashville Hot version is new and I love it!

I love that there are so many fast/easy to make, but healthy, meat free products available in stores now. I always keep frozen veggies in my freezer for quick and easy meals or side dishes.

It’s so hard to get my hubby to eat cooked veggies but he loved these. I can’t wait to try some of the other choices.

I think I need to try all these! The power bowls sound especially amazing. And I’m a card-carrying carnivore.
Debbie Woodruff
The Power Bowl I tried was so good! Perfect to bring to work for an easy lunch.

I am definitely trying to eat less meat and with a vegan son, it’s much easier. However, he and I have had some heated discussions about the merits of meat substitutes vs eating meat! He’s very passionate about his choice to be vegan. It’s nice to see that his choice was made thoughtfully! I can respect that. I’m glad there are options for vegans like the ones you’ve shared here. As an athlete, he needs lots of protein!
Debbie Woodruff
Funny that I was reading your blog post while you were reading mine. 🙂
Being vegan can be a process. Substitutes can make the process easier, and there is nothing wrong with them. I started by subbing out Gardein products for my regular recipes and it was just so easy. I still use a lot of those recipes. As your son goes along, he will learn what his best diet is. It is certainly possible to get enough protein on a plant-based diet, vegan athletes like Robert Cheek (bodybuilder), Rich Roll, and ME! prove that all the time.

All of these look tasty! I”m really intrigued with the Gardein products….I don’t think I’ve seen those around here in stores (?)
Debbie Woodruff
They have so many options! They’re everywhere here these days, even Target and all of the supermarkets. Not sure about Iowa. They do have a location finder on their website at gardein.com
