I’ve been reflecting lately on some of the things that make me feel good. As I get older I have found that sometimes I tend to focus on the things that don’t feel good. My sore back when I wake up. My stiff knees when I start running. Arthritis in my hands that can make it hard to open things. I want to change that. Instead, I want to talk about daily rituals that will help you feel good, sleep better, and enjoy life.

6 Daily Rituals that will help you Feel Good, Sleep Better and Enjoy Life
There are no magic pills, of course. Nothing that will easily allow you to live to 100, get rid of your aches and pains, let you feel like you’re 20 again. But I can assure you that following these daily rituals will make you feel better. And feeling better will help improve your sleep, move more, and add more life to your life.
Let's focus on feeling better! Here are 6 daily rituals that will help you feel good, sleep better, and put more life in your life! Plus, learn how @nubianheritage can help! #ad #nubianheritageClick To TweetDaily Rituals: Movement
Adding daily movement and exercise will improve your health, help you keep an ideal body composition, and add years to your life. Pick something you like and do it. Whether you walk, hike, run, cycle, lift weights, or a combination of all, it doesn’t matter. Just move.
Daily Rituals: Meditation or Self-Reflection
Spending a few minutes meditating every day will clear your mind and calm your soul. It will help you prepare for the day ahead or let go of the events of the day behind. Simple things like self-reflection or sun salutations can be helpful too.
Daily Rituals: Soothe Yourself with a Diffuser
Softly scenting the air with essential oils can gently soothe you to sleep, calm jagged nerves, or simply just make your world smell better. I keep one by my bed and one more centrally located in my house so that when I need a little soothing all I need to do is breathe deeply.
Daily Rituals: Share the Love
Every day, tell the people you care about that you love them. Whether it’s your spouse, children, or best friend, you will feel happy when you share the love. And so will they. Don’t forget to tell yourself too.
Daily Rituals: Quiet Time
Face it. Most of us live noisy, hectic lives. Whether it is children, work colleagues, or significant others, there is always someone who needs us, talks to us, cries at us. Taking some time every day to be alone and quiet will refresh your mind and your soul. Take a walk, go for a ride, or simply shut the door to your room and enjoy the peace.
Daily Rituals: Self-Care
Spend a little time each day doing something that makes you feel happy and relaxed. There are various ways to do this but my current favorite is to enjoy the feelings and scents of Nubian Heritage. I love taking a relaxing bath, following it up with the luxurious feeling of taking care of my skin.
Nubian Heritage creates soaps, lotions, body washes and bath oils that will give you a spa-like feeling when you use them. They smell fabulous and contain ingredients that are good for you and have no harmful additives or chemicals. All Nubian Heritage skin care products are made with a high concentration of certified organic shea butter and natural fragrances that will help maintain hydration and give you soft, smooth skin.
Using natural ingredients like Indian hemp, black seed, buriti, neem, and tamanu oils, papaya extract, avocado and raw shea butters, Nubian Heritage provides products for all types of skin. Several of these ingredients are sourced from women’s cooperatives around the globe. Nubian Heritage is dedicated to alleviating poverty in the communities that comprise their supply chain. Of course, what’s not in a skincare product is just as important as what is in it. Nubian Heritage does not contain parabens, gluten, mineral oil, petroleum, synthetic fragrance or artificial colors. It is also cruelty-free and contains no animal products. The 24-hour deodorant is aluminum-free and contains natural ingredients derived from non-GMO corn.
I’m almost embarrassed to talk about this, but lately one of my concerns has been the look of the skin on my upper arms. It’s starting to look, well, older and drier. Let’s face it, they looked wrinkly. I’ve been using my favorite, the Coconut and Papaya collection (soap, body wash, body lotion, and deodorant) for several weeks.
Just yesterday I was talking to my husband about something (probably complaining about my wrinkles!) and I noticed that my arms looked better! Smoother. Less wrinkly. Now I really wish I’d taken a before picture, but I had no idea that my skin would improve so dramatically in such a short period of time.
I love supporting a company that makes great products, supports women, fights poverty, and doesn’t harm animals. How about you?

My favorite daily ritual is what I am doing right now. Sipping my morning coffee, reading blogs, with the news on in the background. I love my easy, slow mornings. I’ll get moving shortly. But this is my favorite way to start the day.
Debbie Woodruff
That’s a great way to start the day! I have a dozen dogs to feed in the morning before I get my quiet time with my coffee. #crazy
Annmarie
I could definitely use a little more quiet time and self care! It’s been a crazy busy summer so far!
Debbie Woodruff
It has been a pretty crazy summer for me too. Taking some time for yourself is so important!
Deborah @ Confessions of mother runner
Yes I definitely enjoy and feel better when I stick to my rituals as well. Have a great week!

Rituals and self care are important!
The Accidental Marathoner
My 89 year old mother lives with us, and it can sometimes be a bit much. Even on my days off of work, I set my alarm for 5:30 a.m. just so I can have some quiet time alone. She doesn’t get up until 8:00 a.m., so that gives me time to relax over coffee, catch up on e-mails, and just veg out in front of Good Morning America!

You’re so smart to find a little quiet time for yourself.
Sarah Smith
I enjoy taking care of myself with Nubian Heritage who doesn’t love a great brand and animal cruelty free!!!!
Debbie Woodruff
Cruelty free is important to me and I just love the way the lotion feels (and smells).
