I’ve been increasing my mileage lately in preparation for my October marathon. While I’m pretty consistent in my self-care routine of resting, stretching, and foam rolling, I was really excited when I was given the opportunity to try out the new Superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles that are designed especially for runners.
#ad I am increasing mileage and training for my 40th marathon and @superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles are helping me enjoy it more with support and cushioned comfort. #superfeetinsoles #stepintosuperfeet #superfeetcomfortBBxx #runningClick To TweetIntroducing Superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles
The Superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles offer just the right amount of support for me. These running insoles are more flexible than previous models and provide cushioning that made them feel very comfortable the very first time I tried them. Thanks to their Adaptive Comfort Technology they help your foot move the way it is supposed to. In fact, I forgot that I was wearing them.
If you’ve ever worn orthotics before, you know that it usually takes a long time to break them in. They can be stiff and uncomfortable. Eventually, your feet ‘get used to them.’ Not the Superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles! They are designed for your feet, not the other way around. No breaking-in period is needed!
My first run with the ADAPT insoles was six miles. Honestly, I was a little nervous to try new running insoles on that long a run, but I needn’t have worried. The Aerolyte™ dual comfort layer not only cushioned but also ensured that my foot felt relaxed in my shoe.
When I start to increase my mileage, one of my concerns is the possibility of the return of plantar fasciitis. I’m prone to heel pain if I’m not careful and in the past have had to take too much time off because of it. The ADAPT insole has a well-cushioned heel that is designed to disperse impact and reduce vibration, which I know will help keep my feet healthy.
Another benefit of these running orthotics is that they are designed with a responsive forefoot zone. What that means is that they are not only cushioned, they help your foot rebound to maximize energy transfer and really get the most out of every step. For me, that meant I felt like I had a quicker, lighter leg turnover and cadence.
Finally, something that is important in any running orthotic, Superfeet ADAPT Run Insoles have MoistureWick™ for improved wicking and breathability, plus odor control. which is pretty vital when you live and run in the desert.
This cushioned running insole comes in two styles: The ADAPT Run (which I tried out) and the ADAPT Run Max. The ADAPT has a slimmer design with a lower arch and thinner profile. The ADAPT Max has a higher arch, deeper heel cup, and provides more of a ‘Max” experience, where the runner feels more cushioned contours that seem to wrap around the foot. Both promise cushion, support, and comfort that actually adapts to your foot.
I’m looking forward to my marathon training with the Superfeet ADAPT Run Insole because I know that it will help me increase my training while running in comfort and support.

These Superfeet Adapt insoles sound great, Debbie!
Since my Achilles tendonitis I’m wearing expensive, customized orthontics and they felt very stiff and uncomfortable in the beginning. I wish my foot specialist used the Superfeet technology!

I have found prescription orthotics to be so uncomfortable that I end up just not wearing them. I love these, they do the job and they’re so comfortable.

These sound great! Its been a long time since I’ve run in orthotics or insoles, but I do remember them being very hard and stiff. Its nice that these have some cushioning and feel flexible in your shoes!
Debbie Woodruff
They feel so good! Actually, I don’t even notice that they’re there.
Deborah Brooks
It has been a long time since I’ve worn orthotics. Superfeet were the first inserts I wore many years ago and loved them. Thanks for the info on these new ones
Debbie Woodruff
I also haven’t worn orthotics for a while (and always feel like I’m right on the verge of heel pain). I’m happy that Superfeet are cushioning my heel and feel so comfortable.
Darlene S Cardillo
These are great.
I was pretty diligent with buying insoles but with so many shoes and the cost, I’ve stopped.
Probably to go buy a dew more pairs.
These feet are not getting any younger.
Thanks for the review.
Debbie Woodruff
I believe these are good for up to 500 miles. I move them from shoe to shoe, so they’ll last me a while.

I always think to myself that I really need to replace my insoles, and then I never do! Thanks for the report, Debbie!
Debbie Woodruff
You’re welcome. Just like running shoes, insoles need to be replaced after a while. About 500 miles for the Superfeet ADAPT.
Jenny
I’m intrigued! I’ve had plantar fasciitis in one foot for over a year now and I feel like I’m just going to have it forever. I’m just running anyway and managing it the best I can. These might really help me. I noticed in addition to the regular and the max, there’s also a “run pain relief.” Just debating which one to get- any thoughts?
Debbie Woodruff
Hmm, I don’t know about the Run Pain Relief. It sounds similar to the ADAPT Run Max, with a higher arch and a removable heel stabilizer. I’d think either would work. The ones I tried have less of an arch and they seem to work for me.
Do you do the other things to relieve the pain? Stretching (calf, foot, Achilles, front of the lower leg)? Rolling, icing, taping, wearing a boot at night. Yes, I’ve been there, done that, which is why I don’t want to go back!
Jenn
So glad you like these! I’ve been wearing Superfeet insoles forever, since I started running, and they are so good for my feet.
Debbie Woodruff
I love them! Have you tried the new ADAPT Run insoles? They’re even better than before!
Kimberly Hatting
I had not heard of these until your Instagram post. I’ve used the Dr. Scholls ones (which I assume are not as good of quality as these). Thankfully it’s been over five years since my PF issues, but these sound like a great cushioned “fix.” I need stability shoes for my obnoxiously high arches and these would be a great addition to my shoes!
Laura
I’ve never used insoles in running shoes but I have superfeet in my rainboots. These adaptable ones are such a cool concept!
