This post has been made possible by Gerolsteiner Mineral Water through my association with Fit Approach. All opinions are my own.
If you’ve listened to my ramblings at all this year, one of the things I talked about doing was challenging myself to a dietary detox. While my diet is plant-based, of course, that doesn’t mean that it is perfect. I eat and drink many things that are not necessarily helpful, including food and drinks with too much sugar and too little health value.
Fortunately, I am teaming up with Gerolsteiner Mineral Water to participate in the week-long #SparklingDetox that begins on September 12. It runs five days and during that time the only liquid that I will be consuming is (a lot of) Gerolsteiner Mineral Water. That’s the only change I need to make. I will continue to eat as I normally do. I am so excited about this!
About Gerolsteiner Mineral Water
Gerolsteiner Mineral Water has been around for many years, since 1888. It’s known as the #1 sparkling mineral water in the world! There are certain requirements for natural mineral water and Gerolsteiner meets or exceeds all of them.
Gerolsteiner mineral water gathers at a depth of 200 meters, after filtering through many layers of rock, maintaining its purity and good taste due to the carbonic acid that is of volcanic origin. It is then bottled at the source. The area in which it is sourced, the Volcanic Eifel, has unique geological conditions, and the dolomite rock is exceptionally highly mineralized. Gerolsteiner mineral water contains not only essential calcium but essential magnesium as well.
Every liter of Gerolsteiner contains 348 mg of calcium and 108 mg of magnesium. That’s 1/3 of the daily requirement for calcium and 1/4 for magnesium!
About the #SparklingDetox
The Gerolsteiner Sparkling Detox, which takes place September 12 through 16, will definitely be the simplest detox in which to participate. We will be cutting out sodas, juices, alcohol, coffee, and tea and drinking only Gerolsteiner for the five days of the detox. Before you ask, smoothies are allowed because they are considered a food. Whew!
There are no other restrictions. No special meals to prepare or tough workouts to do, just eat and work out as you usually do. This is your opportunity to experience the benefits of natural mineral water firsthand.
I myself am looking forward to the energized feeling that I get when I clear some of the sugar, caffeine, and alcohol out of my system. I know I will feel healthier and more energetic during the detox.
Gerolsteiner has a dedicated Facebook group for the challenge that you can request to join. The group will not only provide peer support as we all participate in the detox, but there will also be fitness and exercise tips, plus ideas for healthy eating. You will be able to share your story, ask for advice, and receive motivation and inspiration from the other participants.
Gerolsteiner Mineral Water is available nationwide (here’s a store locator), plus you have an opportunity to win a case to assist you with your #SparklingDetox! Three hundred lucky folks will win a case of Gerolsteiner! Registration for the sweepstakes starts today. Enter here!
Interested? I hope you will join me in the Sparkling Detox. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments and check out the links below for more information about natural mineral water and Gerolsteiner.

Me too! I’m finding I’m already replacing many of my usual liquids, which will make the Sparkling Detox even easier!
Nicole @ Fitful Focus
What a great way to get people to drink more water and cut out all the other stuff! All I drink during the week is a cup of coffee and lots and lots of water, but I don’t know if I could give up my morning coffee!
Deborah @ Confessions of a mother runner
I am a huge sparkling water fan! You could use this one to make the iced tea. We are a perfect pair today ๐ have a great week.

I don’t know if I could give up wine for 5 days!

I will do anything to try to like water more, but I don’t think I could give up my caffeine ๐
Markita @ SweshFit
Hmmm for some reason I can’t get with the consistence + flavor of sparkling water! Like I want it to have flavor or no carbonation…you make it look really refreshing though!

This would be a tough challenge for me….I gotta have that morning chai LOL I’ve never been much of a water drinker, though I’m doing much better now.

This sounds like a great challenge. Just stopping the other drinks will give a boost to your well-being but to add those vital minerals can be a huge plus. All the best. I don’t think we can get that here but I will do a search for it. All the best.

Water is the best to drink than sodas, wine, juices and any alcoholic drinks. It is much more safer then them.

There is nothing could even replace water from other beverages.
