Fabulous February has turned into quite an inspiring and rewarding month for me (and it’s barely half over!). I thought I’d share some of what has been happening and tell you why I’m bubbling over with excitement.
Fabulous February #1: I’m a new Skirt Sports Ambassador Captain!
A few months ago, when Skirt Sports opened up applications for their Ambassador program, I hesitated to apply because, aside from owning one of the very first running skirts they produced, I hadn’t made a purchase for several years. I must have accidentally hit send though, because a few weeks ago I received a very nice note from founder Nicole DeBoom, asking me to try out Skirt Sports again.
I was sent this beautiful Jette skirt to try out, and I am once again a fan. The fabric is light, the skirt is short and flirty (they have longer skirts too if that’s your preference), and I adore the Tantrum pattern. And, very important, the spandex shorts underneath stay in place so NO CHAFING!

Fabulous February #2: I’m on the Rock and Blog Team!
I did mention this the other day, but I’m so excited I can’t stop talking about it! I was selected to be a part of the 2016 Rock and Roll Marathon Rock and Blog Team!
I feel like I’ve been a part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll family since 1998 when I ran the very first Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in San Diego. That race was also my 36th marathon in 2014! And, of course, it was the first race I signed up for this year after I was accepted as a member of the team. I’ve also signed up for the Carlsbad 5000, and plan to sign up for Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas too. And…
…I’m happy to announce that Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon will be back! There was some concern that it would not happen, but registration is now open! It’s held on October 30, so if you plan to join me, you’d better start thinking about that costume!

Fabulous February #3: I’m going to Blogfest!
As one of the 12 original IDEA Inspired Advisors, I’m proud that I was involved with Blogfest from the very beginning. Now heading into its third year, Blogfest will be bigger and better than ever and I’ll be there!
This year the topics will include Food Photography (I really need this one!), Strategic Blog Planning, the Do’s and Don’ts of Working with Brands, plus we’ll have a Peer Blog Review and Content Marketing Workshop. The Keynote speaker will be Jenna Wolfe (who was amazing at the IDEA World Convention last year…I can’t wait to see her again!).
This year there is no charge for Blogfest. BUT, you do need to apply and be chosen, after sharing some of the reasons that you want to attend.
And, perhaps one of the most exciting perks of attending Blogfest is that after attending the blogging sessions on Thursday and Friday, attendees have the opportunity to go to the Saturday and Sunday sessions at the IDEA World Fitness Convention! You will not only learn a massive amount of fitness and nutrition information, if you’re a fitness professional you can earn CEUs.
So here’s the big question…will I see you this year? At a Rock ‘n’ Roll event? Blogfest? At one of the Skirt Sports events? I certainly hope so!

I did consider Blogfest, but it’s not really free because there are still flights, hotels, food . . . it adds up pretty quickly when your blog is just your passion project!
