I originally shared this challenging Tabata workout almost four years ago. I was working at a different country club and I taught a class called Fast and Furious. It was only a half hour class and I had a lot of fun creating workouts that were quick, tough, and effective.
Back then I was a better workout creator that social media expert. The photo above, which is basically a selfie along with a printout of the workout, is what I used for my featured image as well as what I pinned to Pinterest.
I’ve learned a lot about Pinterest since then, including how to create better, more pinnable pins, as well as how to avoid some of the mistakes that were keeping me from optimizing Pinterest to it’s capabilities. I’m not perfect, but I’m doing much better and I continue to learn.
But, as my title mentions, this photo is the exception that proves the rule. It is my most repinned photo of all time. I still get random repins almost four years later (I cringe a little every time), and amazingly I’ve only had one snarky comment.
In any case, I thought it was time to update that post and that pin, so I’m sharing this challenging Tabata workout again, with a much better pinnable image.
A Challenging Tabata Workout
Weekend Snapshots
And in “real life” news, I was pretty happy to manage about 20 miles running this week, in spite of just recovering from that monster cold/flu thing that I can’t seem to kick to the curb. My runs were short, but I did run five days last week, including a couple time with my husband (always my favorite). Here are a few photos I saved from the weekend (mostly because I didn’t want to jam up Instagram!).
My Favorite of the week:
Alan usually rides his bike on Saturday, but in spite of the sun, the roads were wet (and it was pretty cold), so he ran with me! This may be one of my favorite photos of all time!
What a difference a day makes! Though it didn’t rain until several more hours later, it was cloudy, damp and cold when we ran on Sunday morning.
We had a great time exploring new (to us) trails! A few different choices that normal and we discovered a beautiful, rarely used trail with some spectacular views of the mountains. We will be back to do more exploring!
By the way, just for fun I checked my analytics to back up my story about getting a lot of traffic from Pinterest. As of yesterday, for the last month, 56.8% of all of my blog traffic came from social media. Of that number, 87.4% came from Pinterest. The next in line: Facebook with 7.9%. Twitter placed a distant third with only 2.4%. Remind me why I’m taking so much time to tweet?
How was your weekend? Any fun adventures, races, or events? Have you done a Tabata workout before? Are you ready?
