I received the Bob and Brad® Q2 Mini Massage Gun in exchange for my honest opinion. This post contains affiliate links.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Bob and Brad. They are the two most famous physical therapists on the internet, after all. I’m a recent fan, dating back from when I was searching for help in my plantar fasciitis recovery. My search led me to their YouTube page, which I promptly subscribed to, and a new fan was born.
Since then, I’ve expanded my searches to include some of my clients’ issues as well as my own. Bob and Brad’s direct, down-home approach gives me ideas to help my clients whether it’s personal training or stretching. So, when I had the chance to receive a Bob and Brad® Q2 Mini Massage Gun to try out and review I was thrilled. They have several products that they endorse and I couldn’t wait to try it.

My first impressions of the Bob and Brad® Q2 Mini Massage Gun were that it was very small and quiet yet quite powerful. It basically fits in the palm of your hand, so it’s easy to maneuver to reach most areas of your body. The slip-free silicon surface makes it easy to hold on to. I really love that it comes with its own carrying case. That makes it easy to toss in your gym bag or even your purse.
I was also impressed that it comes with five massage heads, the same as larger models. Many smaller massage guns come with just one or two. They include the Ball Head, which is really the one I use most often. I love the Fork Head for massaging the muscles down my spine (though I need a helper for that one).
The Bullet Head can be a little intense but is perfect for getting into small areas and attacking trigger points. The Air Cushion Head is another favorite. It seems to have some give and works well on tender or sore spots. Finally, the Flat Head works great for broad areas, like your chest. The massage gun comes with a booklet that illustrates how to work on most muscle groups and what massage head to use.
When you think about a massage gun, though, you think about power. Can the tiny little Q2 Mini Massage Gun compare with larger tools? Why yes, it can! The proprietary brushless motor has speeds up to 3,000 rpm with an amplitude of 7mm.
And it’s quiet too! All that power and less than 55 dB, even at high speed.
I really like the Bob and Brad® Q2 Mini Massage Gun. It’s a perfect size for travel or work, it’s quiet and powerful and the price is right. Right now, it’s on sale for $89 on Amazon!
As I mentioned, the tips I got from Bob and Brad really helped me resolve my plantar fasciitis. One of the things I do is use my massage gun before every run. Here’s a quick view of my pre-run activation routine.

That little massage gun does sound handy!
My pre-run routine starts in bed… I do mobility exercises before I get up. Right before my run, I foam roll the calves at home and then do some warm-up exercises outside. It a whole routine! 🙂

That’s great that you follow a routine before you run. I feel that it’s so important to warm up. It took me a few years to get on board (um, about 30 lol) but I’m religious about warming up now.

I have the theragun mini (as well as some full size massage guns from other brands). Its nice to have one that is small and can be taken with you! This sounds like a great product.

I also have a few massage guns. I love the size of this one (without losing any power) and how it feels in my hand.
Jenn
Oooh! This looks painful! I mean great! I don’t have a mini massage gun yet but maybe it’s time!
Debbie Woodruff
A mini is super convenient because you can take it anywhere!

I love Bob and Brad! Their YouTube videos are great. I’m glad to see that they’ve branded a massage gun. Glad to hear you like it! I have yet to get one for myself.

Oh yes, I know Bob and Brad! i also found them while searching for PF treatments. I’m glad you reminded me of them- I’m going to check them out again.
This massage gun looks great and i like the price! I don’t own one but we have some at work that I use. Obviously I can’t use it for a pre-run activation though. I’m thinking this will go on my Christmas list. Thanks for the review!

A massage gun is a perfect Christmas gift! Go for it.
Yes, Bob and Brad are great. They have so many helpful videos. They have a podcast now too.
