Welcome to the Friday Wrap Up, a place where I can tell you just the things I want you to know!
The Friday Wrap Up
Well, I’m being a little facetious, but it is my opportunity to let you know about a few things that you may be interested in too. Like, for example, the winner of the Aroma Sense Shower Head!
Congratulations to Deborah from Confessions of a Mother Runner. She is the winner of that awesome, spa-experience shower head. You’re going to love it!
In case you hadn’t heard, we had an earthquake in Southern California early this morning. It was moderate, a 5.2, centered in Borrego Springs, about 20 miles or so from La Quinta. It knocked a few things off the shelves, scared the dogs, but apparently there wasn’t any real damage.
Having been raised in California I tend to be blasé about earthquakes, yet here I am, at 2:30, wide awake. I’m not sure why, I’m usually a good sleeper, but not this morning.
Since I was up anyway, I checked Twitter for the trending hashtag #earthquake, and amused myself for a while, kind of impressed with how many people could quickly dig up and post such a great variety of GIF images. My favorite tweet, though, probably because I felt the same way, was from Wil Wheaton (@wilw):
I don’t get out of bed for anything less than a 5, so I hope the prelim magnitude holds, or I’m gonna feel really silly. #earthquake

I semi-promised to have my Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon Recap up today, but obviously, that didn’t work out. Monday it is!
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway for a package of Bob’s Red Mill Protein Powder. Not to mention check out the recipe for protein banana blueberry almond pancakes (they’re really good!).
I have two linkups where you can share your posts and find new blogs to read. The Running Coaches’ Corner is specifically for running-related blog posts, but they can be on any running topic. You’ll also find my thoughts on Life Lessons Learned from Running.
The Blogger’s Pit Stop is open to any type of post, plus we have a new contest based on how many other blogs participants read and comment on. Check it out!
My post for Storelli Sports is sponsored, but it is also starring my grandsons, Cash and Dane, who were good enough to model the safety equipment that was sent to them. Plus, if you have kids who play soccer, I have some tips for keeping them safe as well as a discount code if you decide to purchase from Storelli.
And finally, I published a new post on my other blog, Media Fitness Coach, with 10 Pinterest Tips for Bloggers. If you blog, you will find some useful tips that increase your engagement and referral traffic.
Are you in Southern California? Did you feel the earthquake? Are you blasé or ready to leave the state?

Ok, so I am new to So Cal and NOT AT ALL blase’ about earthquakes! Luckily I did not feel it but I did wake up at 3am to ridiculously loud neighbours and a truck inexplicably backing up and going forwards (beeping and all) in the parking lot for several minutes.

I’m so glad you’re in So Cal! Sorry about the earthquake though :-).

I felt it!!! It was my first earthquake. At first I was confused, then realized what it was and got excited. Granted, I’m further south in San Diego, so it was a gentle rumble. Nothing even fell off a shelf. Had I been closer, I’m sure I’d have been scared!
