Before I share my Palm Desert Half Marathon Race Report (next week, I promise), I want to share some of the things that really helped me recover faster. First off, the Bob and Brad Heated Back and Neck Massager.

Feeling some tightness in your upper back and shoulders after a race? Where I really felt some stiffness and discomfort was in my upper back and posterior deltoids. I guess holding my body upright for 13.1 miles when I wasn’t really in shape for it was a bit challenging.

Honestly, I’ve been busy and hadn’t really had the time to give it the full trial. Obviously, post-race was a perfect time.
The Bob and Brad Back and Neck Massager has a rechargeable battery so you can take it anywhere. I’ve mostly kept mine on my office chair but you can use it in the car, lay back on a pillow, and even use it on other achy muscles like your calves!
When you turn on the Bob and Brad Back and Neck Massager, you have several options. You can get a shiatsu massage, with or without heat. It is bi-directional so it feels like you’re being massaged by real human hands.
It has an adjustable strap, so it’s easy to maneuver the massager to a position that is appropriate. Set it up higher on your chair to target your upper back, shoulders, and lats, or slide it down a bit to hit that sore lower back. Even lower to massage your glutes and hips.
For safety, to avoid overuse and overheating, the Bob and Brad Back and Neck Massager turns off after 10 minutes. I’ve found that it needs to cool down for a few minutes before using it again.
So when you’re planning your post-race recovery, think about your upper body as well as your lower. Try the Bob and Brad Back and Neck Massager to help ease pain, stiffness, and discomfort in your back and neck.
Stay tuned next week for my Palm Desert Half Marathon race report and other tips for recovery!

Sometimes, you need a massage precisely when all the massage practices are closed. Then it would be very nice to have a tool like that!
Debbie Woodruff
Exactly! It feel s (almost) as good as a real back & neck massage.
Lisa @ Mile by Mile
This sounds really nice! Especially after a race that leave you a little sore.
Debbie Woodruff
It also feels good when you’ve been sitting at a desk or in the car too long. I love it.
Deborah Brooks
I would definitely use that on my back while watching tv!
Debbie Woodruff
Yes, that’s a great time to use it.
Jenn
Oh, this sounds nice!
I use my heated seats for my back and hips all the time, but this seems like it would be lovely to have.
Debbie Woodruff
Yes, it’s even better that you’re getting a massage too.
