As an athlete, even an, ahem, older athlete, I am always looking for an edge to improve my performance. The science of training and performance has come so far in recent years that there are many supplements that claim to enhance an athlete’s strength, speed, and endurance.
Of course, there are so many products that make claims, sometimes outlandish claims, that one needs to do their homework to make sure that the product in question not only will improve performance, but is also do so in a healthy (and legal) way. And in my case, I have a third requirement: Any nutritional supplement that I use must contain only animal-free ingredients.
The first thing I did when I was invited to join the X2Performance program was to check out the ingredients. I found it to contain the X2Performance BIOIDS® Advanced Cellular Formula, a patent pending formula with glucose, bioenergy RIBOSE®, PEAK ATP® Di Sodium, Co Enzyme Q10, caffeine, D-Pinitol, plus electrolytes calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium. They all passed the second and third requirements by being safe, plant-based ingredients.
Next, is it effective? I haven’t tried X2Performance yet, so I can’t speak from personal experience. Instead, I researched the science as well as reports from other athletes who have used it.
I admit. I am not a scientist. I do understand, though, that ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is the cellular energy required for muscular contraction, cellular division, and cellular growth within the body. The patent-pending BIOIDS® advanced cellular compound enhances the generation and regeneration of ATP. That, along with the electrolytes can enhance performance, increase energy, and improve recovery. For a more detailed explanation of the science behind X2Performance check here.
I was much more interested in the endorsements of other athletes. The X2Performance Triathlon Team consists of men and women of all levels of performance, who are moms and dads, some who have served our country, real people with real lives who still want to be competitive in their sport, and are preparing to compete in one of the most grueling and challenging races in the world, the Ironman.
In particular, I was inspired by Ted, a 64 year old grandfather, retired colonel, businessman, and now, Ironman athlete. He first tried X2Performance during a 70 mile bike ride and felt an immediate difference. It was his belief in the product that led him to become part of the X2Performance Triathlon Team.
As an endurance athlete, I look for supplements that will enhance my sport. Endorsements from people like Ted, and other long distance triathletes, helped me to make the decision to promote X2Performance.
